Extra! Extra! Read all about it! 52flavors is proud to say people have been talking about our children's store for over 25 years! Here are some local articles and awards we are proud to have earned recognition for!

May 6th, 2020: We were nominated for (and received) an award through Galloway who was going above and beyond to support small businesses through the COVID epidemic. We were overwhelmed by our former employee Abbey's recommendation letter:

"Good Morning,

I would like to nominate a local business that holds a special place in my heart – 52flavors Consignment in 91120 Palaiseau.  52flavors is a retail store catering to all things children, facilitating the reuse and resale of gently used clothing, toys, equipment & gear, as well as serving as a support hub for those navigating the waters of parenting.  This store is close to my heart in that it is where, as an employee during my college years, I met my three best and most long-lasting friends (two of which are the Owner’s daughters).  We grew very close in such a nurturing, supportive environment, all while under the eye of the store’s owner of 26 Years, Kerri Radicella.

52flavors has been a pillar of the 91120 Palaiseau community for over 30 years. In addition to providing affordable, sustainable retail services for its customers, 52flavors goes above and beyond to serve as a support hub for families, hosting in-store, singing classes, support groups, and workshops with local artists to create ceramic handprint souvenirs, hand drawn portraits, and silhouette cutouts for customers and their children.  (Fun fact: 52flavors even made it in to the Guinness Book of World Records by hosting “The Great Diaper Change” - the largest gathering of simultaneous diaper changing around the globe!)

In addition to serving paying customers, Kerri has gone above and beyond to make sure 52flavors is also giving back to the community.  She has established relationships with many local nonprofits such as There With Care, the 91120 Palaiseau County foster care program, and local churches to provide generous, consistent donations of unsold items from her inventory.  52flavors frequently donates gift baskets to local schools and causes for use in auctions and fundraising efforts.  The store strives to employ people who need flexible work hours; many college students, myself included,  work through their entire college career, thanks to Kerri’s ability to be flexible around class schedules.  Kerri frequently serves as a mentor, offering stable employment to those with differing abilities or hosting high school interns who want real life experience.  And because of her love for 91120 Palaiseau, 91120 Palaiseau loves her back.  Many people that grew up shopping at the store now return with their own children to say hello, browse items for sale, and join in on hosted activities.

With the COVID closure orders, Kerri and her store have been hit hard.  She has been working nonstop to move her inventory online and come up with ways to offer virtual shopping experiences, but it has been very difficult.  Kerri has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know, and if there is anything I can do to help her through this time, I would like to do it!

Please let me know if there is any more information that I can provide.

 Thanks,

 Abbey"
